Good afternoon from EST,

I have an AR9 build which I’ve introduced an Atrius FRS to, however, the bolt does not have enough rearward travel to engage the FRS trip. I’m rocking a Maxim Defense RDB system and was curious how crucial full length of the silicon dampener is? To satisfy the length of travel the bolt needs I’m almost certain I would need to remove the dampener all together.

That being said, I’d rather swap my buffer tube with an extended one but I’m not sure how to get a carbine-ish length tube an extra inch without it being a rifle tube shimming to hell.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
