Is ice and pain relief still the best option? (tw: bruising)

This bruise is about two days old. The upper arm formed immediately and the lower is still coming in. I am not too worried because I bruise easily, but I am concerned that I am not doing enough to relieve it. I am admittedly an alcoholic so I don’t want to take pain medication, however, should I get this evaluated or am I overreacting?

Should I be worried?

I (22 f) bruised my arm pretty bad last night while trying to reach something on the ground. I was a little drunk and ended up putting too much body weight forward, and ended up falling off of the bed. I instinctively fell onto my hip first, which fucking hurt, then ended up landing on my left arm. Luckily I still had enough mentality to protect my head and caught in my arms and chest. It is difficult to describe the position I was in due to intoxication and trying to get up quick, but now I have two large bruises on my arm. I can still move it but any touch is painful… I don’t think anything is wrong but I’m not sure. The bruising started a few hours after my fall and it’s starting to deepen on my forearm.
