Tldr - looking for friends / group in the northside of brissie bc sick of commute
I’m 21F, originally from Victoria and moved to Brisbane last year, and I miss having that little close-knit group from high school where you can literally just message someone like “wanna go for a walk?” and they’re 10 minutes away.
I’ve made friends through UQ, but I cannot keep fighting for my life on the Redcliffe line every time I want to see someone lmaooo.
Ideally looking for girls around my age in the North Lakes/Mango Hill/Redcliffe-ish area. And I’m very much willing to actually organise things rather than just saying “we should hang out sometime” and never doing it.
About me / things I’m into:
• Dog walks / going for random walks in general
• Gym — I go to Anytime Fitness!!
• Shopping + wandering around + yapping
• Redcliffe markets!!!
• Arts & crafts, air-dry clay, jewellery, painting etc. I am NOT particularly good at them but they’re fun to do, especially with a moscato lol
• Perfumes/fragrances, op shopping, and currently working on the interior design of my room and garden!!
• Nature, day trips, travelling — I fuck heavy with Bird watching too
• Hiking in theory because I am currently very unfit but working on it 😭
• Getting dressed up and going out for drinks
• I loveee a fish too, so if any girls wanna go fishing, I’m down but also equally down to go check out Mecca afterwards
• Gaming, Stardew Valley, Roblox, RDR2, GTA, Fortnite. Love bored and card games too !
• Anime + random TV shows + MAFS
• I love AFL, but I also fw One Piece, GOT, rom-coms, love island, better call saul, twd, true blood, omg so many hard to thinkkk etc
• I love YouTube, Drew Gooden, Papa Meat, cooking shows etc
• Love movies and musicals. I watched Cats the musical and thought it was kinda weird but enjoyed it but I LOVED Pride and Prejudice when it was playing at QPAC in Brisbane. So good, you have to watch it
• I’m not a huge drinker but if the group wants to go clubbing I’ll absolutely come along
• Trying random hobbies/things just because they sound fun
• Love history, debating and reading, was on chess team in hs like to try sports like tennis squash ect
• never done it b4 but im sure I'd be into trivia
I’d like to think I’m a jack of all trades, master of none type of person (in a good way??). Like, if you have some niche hobby, I’ve probably tried it to some degree or something similar, and I’m 100% up for trying new things.
I’m honestly looking for the kind of friendship where we can be like:
“Dog walk this afternoon?”
“Yes.”
“Shopping Saturday?”
“Yes.”
“Wanna drive to Maleny tomorrow?”
“Why not.”
I also think a group of girls would be so much more fun for this than constantly trying to coordinate 1-on-1 friendships across all of Brisbane.
I’d genuinely love to build an actual little group that hangs out regularly.
