I read this quote in the latest James Marriott Substack, and thought it might be appreciated in this sub:

"There is such thing as greatness. More specifically, there is such thing as thickness. Great works of fiction—for that matter, great works of any art—unfurl in response to your attention. The more time you spend with them, the more you get out of them. That kind of responsiveness is so addicting that it can lead people to do crazy things, like try to teach literature to high schoolers."

I see lots of posts on here about politics, but my ask is much more wholesome! I'm a complete bookworm who loves public libraries. I'm from the UK, but I've noticed from being a member of r/libraryporn that the US is blessed with beautiful and well stocked public libraries. I love to see 'em and wondered if posters here would be willing to share pictures of their libraries simply for my edification and enjoyment. Particularly the interior if possible, but any pics are enjoyable to look at. Thank you in advance.

Hello and hope everyone is having a good weekend. I'm in the mood to chat about cultural stuff with any age or gender. Basically, I'd like to hear what you're reading, watching or listening to and maybe ask you questions about it on the offchance that it inspires me to find some new stuff.

Ok, I've seen the forecasts, but I don't know how accurate these are. Can someone tell me when it's likely to feel cooler (perhaps be less than 25⁰C) for those of us living in Bristol? And if we might even how for some rain at all in July.
