Since we moved into the ground floor unit, the kids of our upstairs neighbors (directly above us) have been throwing toys, clothes, garbage, and food off their balcony, and it lands right in front of our balcony and windows. Then it just sits there for days or weeks.

We’ve texted them directly, they say they’ll clean it up right away, but the junk stays. We’ve knocked on their door, they rarely answer. We’ve reported it to property management multiple times, they assure us it’ll be handled, but almost daily we watch more stuff get tossed down.

I considered just throwing this latest haul in the garbage, like the gardeners do every other week, but that clearly hasn’t changed anything. So instead, I gathered it all up and left it right at their door for them to deal with.

Perhaps not the wisest move but I’m fed up with having to see their crap every time I look out the window.
