There is a proposal to reform the SCOTUS by having 18 year term limits and each presidential term gets two nominees. Are you for or against this?
(assuming the GOP doesn't act like the GOP, blocking every Dem nominee)

I was struck by members of a particular sub claiming to be just fine with Trump's crypto grift, foreign entanglements, and insider trading. It seems there is absolutely nothing they won't defend, as long as it is done by Trump. These are people who were up in arms about Hunter Biden and the supposed "Biden Crime Family," people who wanted Nancy Pelosi impeached for stock trading--but they are offering full-throated defense of Trump's corruption.
It got me thinking that this is less about objective reality and more about not wanting to admit they were fools for being the marks of a lifelong conman. They can't take the ego hit of admitting Trump was bad when they wrap themselves head to toe in Trump gear and have made MAGA a core part of their identity.
What do you think is going on?
When confronted many of them will say "What, I'm going to vote for Kamala" but this cult-like devotion is not the same as voting for the lesser of two evils.
I think of all the things Trump has done destroying faith in elections is one of the worst.
Do you believe it’s organic?
Crime is at historic lows, and studies seem to show that adding a gun to a volatile situation actually increases the odds of a negative outcome.
Even if you believe that the founders put the 2A in the constitution so that people would rise up and overthrow the government (the Whisky Rebellion pretty clearly illustrates that was not what they were thinking) personal weapons are pretty ineffective against a modern army.
So, why do we need guns?
I just read in the NY Times that during the Gilded Age* the richest 0.00001 percent controlled 3% of the countries economic output. Today that same 0.00001 controls 12%
This question is really for people who see no issues with wealth inequality, is there a point at which the 0.00001 owning XX% signals a problem for you?
*an era famous for wealth inequality, political corruption, and poverty that ushered in the progressive era as a reaction
The Trump administration is filled with unqualified loyalist lackeys and yes men, mostly white, mostly men. How do we prevent that in government and corporate America?
If you were to create corporate and government hiring and promotion policies that promoted based on merit and mitigated people's inherent in-group biases what would they look like?
It's hard to see that being a sincere belief when we had so many racist laws, but I've heard this floated as a fact.
There a couple of options I can think of, but would like to hear what people think
Are they patriots or do they lack loyalty and integrity, or maybe you think something else entirely.
his hair plugs keep failing, is that enough?
Do you believe the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice, or that fascism is winning and AI is stealing all jobs?
What we knew about the world used to be dictated by a handful of large companies. While media consolidation is still a thing and getting worse the internet has allowed people to seek out only news that conforms to their world view. This is true for entertainment as well, instead of everyone watching prime time TV shows people choose what they watch, when, from an almost infinite supply of content.
What do Dems need to change that they are finally viewed as a viable alternative for the Natty Lite crowd?
Do you feel like there is an unfair expectation that you have to stand up for Trump no matter what, and that you'll immediately have a fully formed defense for something you just learned about, and might not even agree with?
And are you good with it?
As the right has become more extreme and we've normalized things that were abnormal 20 years ago how do you think that has impacted mainstream liberal views on things like taxes, regulation, equality, guns, and other issues?
