How well does the Niukka work as an office bag?
Will pulling out a laptop out of the clamshell start to feel like a hassle?

I only go 1 day to the office per week.

Yesterday i bought a pair of Lowa Z8-S GTX C size UK 10 , EU 44 1/2, I wore them on my drive home from the store. (When I bought them i was mostly focused on to find the right size and had with me two different pairs of socks to alternate and find my right size)

When i came home and took them off I could feel a ”vaccum” forming which pulled a section the gtx liner away from the inner. When I reached in with my hand the toe section was loose and I could push the gtx liner back up (it was like 1-2cm of loose fabric that draped down in the toe section).
I thought this was weird and decided i would return them for another pair at the store the next day.

The next day i went to the store and returned them.
I Went through 4-6 pairs of size EU 44 1/2 Z8-S GTX C and they all had the same issue with a loose GTX liner in the toe section after you take the boot off your feet. I could hear a sticky glue sound when I repeatedly pressed the gtx liner up into the toe box with my hand.

I found the same issue with varying degree of loose gtx liner in lowa z11-s , zephyr and also in the new lowa mk2 z8-s gtx pr.

After this I tried another brand of hanwag boots with gtx liner and they didn’t have a sticky glue sound when i reached in to try and see if the gtx liner was loose in the toe section.

In the end i left empty handed and demanded my money back from the store.

Im not sure why the gtx liner is loose. either the store got a bad batch of lowa boots or the store has poor storage environment that causes gtx liner to loosen. Then again, why only lowa? Maybe they are starting to get old, and the gtx liner is loosening in older lowa models?

So sad, i was so stoked to finally purchase a pair of Lowa boots but now im reluctant to buy another pair if i can’t first verify if the gtx liner is loose.

Im planning on buying a Niukka. But im torn between choosing black or brown for urban environments and travel and occasional outdoor daytrips, maybe a dad bag.

Black == more lowkey
Brown == a split between outdoors equipment/ military vibe.

Does anybody actually care or notice what colour your bag is?

In the end its only me who cares…
