I belong to a Sikh family and we had to uproot ourselves during the partition. My family belonged to Abbottabad.

My grand-aunt who was 9-10 years old at the time tells me that we had a Haveli, at a place called Kapoor ki Gali, we had a jewellery shop few steps away from the Haveli as well.

My Grand Aunt also studied in a school called Gobind Girls' High School.

I have looked up on the internet but found no traces of Kapoor ki Gali or the High School. I request you fine gentlemen and ladies residing in Abbottabad to please tell me if these addresses or any resemblance to them is still remaining or if your ancestors or someone knew about these addresses. I would love to show them to my Grand-aunt.

I am a resident of a place called Shillong, India. Here we love our leather jackets, pretty much everyone wears one all year round.

Ever since I was a kid I've watched western movies and come to observe that leather jackets are such a big deal in the USA, not just in formal settings but as soon as someone dons a leather jacket they consider him to be an outlaw or smth?

I do not understand this at all, can someone please explain how the leather jacket came to have such a reputation in America?
