Long story short, I have a medical condition that requires narcotic prescription for pain and have lost my family doctor who I relied upon for refills of Tylenol 3. My options now are limited for prescription refills so I'm thinking of growing poppies for pain relief. I'm early in my research on how to do that so am here asking for advice. Yes, it's illegal in my country to grow poppies for opium, but I'm past worrying about that, tbh. Anyone have any advice on varieties that will grow in Zone 5 (North America)?
