Title: DILR has become my biggest weakness. Is there enough time to turn it around?

I've taken 4 mocks so far (2 IMS, 2 CL), and my overall scores have been:

IMS: 72, 68

CL: 58, 51

My DILR scores have been:

27

11

15

11

DILR has clearly become my biggest pain point, and it's starting to worry me. On top of that, I'm finding VARC in Career Launcher mocks especially difficult compared to IMS.

At this stage, is there still enough time to significantly improve DILR and become consistent? Any suggestions from people who've been through a similar phase would be really helpful.

Indian here,Look for Argentine TV shows recommendations

Hola! I'm from India and I've been really interested in Argentine culture, history, football, music, and everyday life. I'd love to watch some Argentine TV shows to get a better feel for the country and the way people speak and live.

What Argentine series would you recommend to a foreigner? I'm open to any genre—drama, comedy, crime, historical, or anything that you think represents Argentina well.

Gracias!

Is CFA necessary for getting an MDI call?

Hi everyone,

I wanted to understand whether CFA (Level 1 or higher) is necessary for getting a call from MDI, assuming one has a good CAT percentile.

Also, if a candidate has CFA on their profile, do interview panelists typically ask questions related to the CFA curriculum and concepts during the selection process? If yes, how in-depth are those questions usually?

Would appreciate insights from current students, alumni, and recent aspirants.

Thanks!

Took a gap for CAT 2026 and currently doing a Google Generative AI certification — what else should I do?

Hey everyone,

I’ve taken a gap year to prepare seriously for CAT 2026. Alongside prep, I’m currently doing a Google Generative AI certification so that I can also build my profile and learn something useful during this period.

I wanted to ask people here — what else would you recommend doing during this gap year to make it more productive and strengthen my profile overall?

Could be:

\- Certifications

\- Internships/projects

\- Freelancing

\- Skills to learn

\- Reading/business knowledge

\- Extracurriculars

\- Anything that helped you personally during your CAT/MBA journey

Would really appreciate genuine suggestions, especially from people who took a gap themselves or converted good B-schools after one.

Thanks!

As someone who’s relatively new to following football finances, I’m trying to understand the whole Manchester City 115 charges/FFP situation better.

From what I understand, City have been accused of breaching financial rules, but nothing has officially been proven yet and the case is still ongoing. So I’m curious — on what basis do so many people strongly believe City are guilty? Is it mainly because of past investigations/leaks, the scale of the charges, or something else?

Genuinely asking out of curiosity and to understand the background better, not trying to start fan wars or hate on City or people who dislike them.

Also, if possible, could people share reliable sources/articles/videos where I can read more about the case and the background behind it?

Hey everyone,

I just took my first SIMCAT and scored 72 with an overall percentile of 86.4.

Section-wise breakup:

- VARC: 18

- DILR: 27

- QA: 27

Not sure how to interpret this — is this a decent starting point or below where I should be?

Would love some guidance on:

- Whether this is a good/bad start

- How people typically improve from here

- What I should focus on going forward (mock strategy, prep approach, etc.)

Any advice would really help. Thanks!

Hey everyone,

I’m considering buying Career Launcher’s mock test series for CAT prep, but I’m a bit unsure. How are their mocks in terms of difficulty level, quality, and how close they are to the actual CAT?

Also, how do they compare with other test series like TIME or IMS?

Would you recommend going for it, or are there better alternatives?

Thanks in advance!

Has anyone here purchased the AIMCAT 2026 test series?

I recently checked with the TIME Marathahalli centre, and they told me that the test series is only available bundled with their books—apparently, you can’t buy just the test series separately.

I’m specifically looking to get only the test series, so wanted to check: has anyone been able to purchase AIMCAT 2026 without the books? Or is the bundle mandatory everywhere?

Would really appreciate any clarity on this.
