What's the Sweet Spot Right Now?
This is obviously highly subjective and everyone has their own opinion, but I'd like to hear them.
My buddy and I have decided to start streaming together. I decided to move away from my UWQHD VA (Lenovo G34W-10) to a QHD IPS (Asus VG27AQ5A). I'm not a competitive gamer by any means.
I loved my UW aspect ratio but the black smearing was tough for me to stomach and I was experiencing washed out colors and flickering with large FPS swings (I've read that these are potentially issues with that specific panel.)
The Asus VG27AQ5A addresses the black smearing, washed out colors and flickering issues, but I'm having a hard time adjusting to the lower brightness, lower contrast ratio and vignetting. These are all potential issues I was aware of, but I wanted to try an IPS panel. Beyond that, I just find it more tiring to look at, especially when it comes to text.
I'm not looking for a sure answer here. I'm just curious to hear from anyone who's gone down this path and ended up with a monitor they deemed very nice to look at. What did you end up with and what do you use it for? No real budget in place, < $400 would be an easy buy, but open to whatever you recommend.
Laser Engraved my Spatula
Multiple typos and accidentally did it upside down, but thought it was silly 🦊
Told myself I wasn't ready for terrariums yet...
Really just showing off... Have been putting off getting into terrariums (I have a lot of other plants) but then I scored this bad boy. 10 sided glass dome measuring 32" across and 20" high with an 8" deep basin that's sealed with plastic. 8" rim around the outside. Going to spend a while researching and deciding what I'd like to do with it, but I'd love to hear any opinions or advice you may have!
So... I'm not really a big fan of Cacti. I've had this one for at least 5 years and it was initially only about 1.5" tall. Despite serious neglect, multiple moves and a couple near death experiences it continues to come back and it has bloomed within the last year. I finally acquired a house and I think he has earned his stay. Clearly needs repotting, but what's the proper way to do so in this case? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Light: Currently next to an East facing sliding door. ~3 hours direct light and lots of bright indirect light. Can certainly be moved. Have a large deck outside if that's better.
Water: Every time it dries out completely, which is frequent due to the tiny dinkus idiot pot.
Bonus: Can I transfer the other cactus into the same pot as the schlong or nah?
