How to preserve fossil impressions in mudstone - and why are some of these lighter?

My daughters and I found some fossil impressions (and what seems to be one proper fossil!) at Charmouth beach, UK, today. Most are in very delicate mudstone and appear to just be imprints. Is there any way to preserve this? My 10 year old was very unhappy to hear they are likely to crumble away.

Also are the lighter ones in the image examples of an attempted but incomplete fossilisation of the actual animal? Any structures appear to be very thin and don’t seem to go backwards into the rock to make a complete animal.

Strength training catch 22 - anyone relate?

I twigged today that I’m in a catch 22 with the need to increase my strength but without upsetting my very grumpy mast cells in my connective tissue.

Some background: I also have hEDS and a personality that tends to push myself, and I also was found to have cellular B12 deficiency a few years ago. Basically as a result of all three, I built up a load of postural compensations and muscle imbalances (some from childhood, some after childbirth, some over the last 3 years) and areas of significant muscle weakness. I won’t go into everything but I had a twisted asymmetrical pelvis which wasn’t obvious because I was twisting various other parts of me to give the appearance of being lined up. My right hip and left torso were considerably weaker from the other sides, and best not focus on my whole ankle/knee/hip chain.

So back to now - I am making fantastic progress with the right physio for my hypermobility, but the whole process seems to be triggering my MCAS. My body is now strong enough to pull itself into the proper alignment but isn’t strong enough to comfortably stay there all day. Any exercise season is triggering my symptoms BUT so is just basic existing (sitting, standing) without sufficient strength. Because of this whole automatic chain reaction of alignment, my body is basically constantly exercising at rest. And when my body falls into the non correct alignment through fatigue, that triggers my symptoms too from incorrect muscle usage!

On the plus side I can tell many of my joints are a lot more stable and I’m no longer living in fear of them sublaxing, so there’s that I guess!

As living in a flotation tank or on the international space station are not viable options, I wondered if anyone had gone through similar and found anything helpful or important to be mindful of? I am piecing together that going a certain length of time without eating probably makes this all worse, and weirdly sugar seems to help in the moment but probably isn’t helpful in the longer term..
