Visited Pompeii. Told gf (now wife) about a multi-oscar winning movie named Pompeii, including best picture, may be around 1984-89. Came back and seems there is none. Searched all the movies starting from "Pom". Cant find any.
I vividly remember that this was one of the top oscar winning movies of that year recommended among the top movies you should see (may be among the top 250 Movie list of IMDB). Although i did not know about the Pompeii town story back then and probably, this movie was not exactly based on the volcano eruption. I used to pick up movies from IMDB 250 randomly and started watching it may be 15-20 years ago for the first 30 minutes, found it boring. The poster was of some famous actor like Roberto Benigni or Anthony Hopkins wearing clothes made of hemp or burlap with surrounding of old stone roads/ruins like pompeii. How can i be so sure?
