Anyone else having issues logging into the TRICARE West website?

Is anyone else having problems with the TRICARE West website right now?
I’m trying to log into my account, but every time I enter my information, it either doesn’t load or just sends me right back to the login page. I’ve tried multiple times and can’t get past the login screen.
Is the website down, or has anyone else had this issue and figured out how to fix it? I’m just trying to access my account and it’s driving me crazy

1 Month Post-Bilateral Salpingectomy — When Did Your Scars Fully Heal & When Did You Start Working Out?

I had my bilateral salpingectomy on August 3rd, so I’m officially a little over a month post-op!
At this point, I can walk normally, bend over, twist, etc. without any issues. My incisions don’t look open, but they’re still a little pink and they’ve been pretty itchy lately. I’m assuming the itching is part of the healing process.
I saw my OB-GYN about a week ago and he said everything looked like it was healing fine. I do have a belly apron, though, so I’m wondering if that could make the incisions take a little longer to fully heal because of the skin/fold in that area. After showering, I’ve just been gently patting everything dry and leaving it alone.
For anyone who has had a bilateral salpingectomy, how long did it take for your incisions/scars to feel and look fully healed? When did the pinkness and itching go away?
I’m also really ready to start working out again. My doctor told me nothing crazy for 6 weeks, and I hit 6 weeks next week. I’m thinking about starting slowly with walking/jogging and seeing how my body feels. I’m still nervous about things like sit-ups or other ab exercises, though, and I’m honestly considering waiting closer to 3 months before doing anything intense with my core.
When did you start running, lifting, or doing ab workouts again after your surgery? Did you ease back into it at 6 weeks or wait longer?
Any advice or experiences would be appreciated! Thanks

Anyone else have anxiety after a bilateral salpingectomy and keep thinking “what if they didn’t actually remove them?” 😭

I got my bilateral salpingectomy on Monday and everything went really well. The first few days were pretty painful for me, mostly really bad cramping and soreness, but it’s officially Friday and I feel SO much better. I’m actually planning on going back to work Monday.
But I wanted to know if anyone else experienced this after getting their tubes removed because I feel like my anxiety is messing with me lol.
I don’t remember much after waking up from anesthesia, but my doctor told my husband that everything went well. They also gave/showed me pictures from the surgery, and I can literally see where the tubes were removed/cut/burned and the white areas where they were separated.
Yet somehow my brain STILL goes, “Okay, but what if they didn’t remove them?” “What if they left part of them?” “What if they didn’t do it correctly?” “What if I can still get pregnant?” 😭
And logically, I KNOW they removed them. My doctor said the surgery went well. I have the incisions. I have the surgical pictures. I can see that something was removed. I also have my follow-up appointment in about two weeks. I know that if something had gone wrong or they weren’t able to complete the procedure, I’m sure my doctor would have told me instead of just telling my husband everything went well.
I think part of it is that I had a completely different idea of what fallopian tubes looked like. I thought they would look like two super obvious long strings or something lol. Then I saw the pictures and realized everything in there looks way more connected/close together than I imagined, so I started second-guessing what I was looking at.
I also think everything going on politically in the U.S., especially living in a red state, has made me extra anxious about pregnancy and really wanting the peace of mind that comes with knowing I’m permanently sterilized.
I was SO happy when I first realized it was finally done. I remember looking at the pictures and thinking, “Holy shit, I actually did it. They’re gone.” But then that little anxious voice started with the “what ifs,” even though I have no actual reason to think anything went wrong.
Did anyone else go through this after their bisalp? Like you KNOW logically that your tubes are gone, but your brain keeps finding ridiculous little “what if” scenarios anyway? 😭 How long did it take before you finally trusted it and stopped worrying about pregnancy?

Are my laparoscopic incisions supposed to be this small? (2 days post-op bilateral salpingectomy)

I had a bilateral salpingectomy 2 days ago, and I finally took my bandages off today to shower. The two lower incisions under my belly fold are so tiny that I can barely even notice them. 😅
Is it normal for laparoscopic incisions to be this small? I was honestly expecting them to be much bigger, so now I’m overthinking whether this is what they’re should look like.
There’s no heavy bleeding or pus, and they seem closed. I just can’t believe how small they are.

Just had my bilateral salpingectomy yesterday! Recovery questions and looking for advice.

I had my bilateral salpingectomy yesterday, and overall everything went well!
One thing I thought was funny was that before surgery the doctors kept asking me if I knew what procedure I was having. At the time I thought it was kind of odd, but afterward I found out that’s pretty standard.
Before surgery they started my IV and put a patch behind my ear for nausea, and they told me to leave it on for 3 days. The last thing I remember before going under was the anesthesiologist saying, “It’s going to burn when you breathe it in.” Next thing I knew, I woke up in recovery with my husband there. My doctor had already talked to him, and honestly I don’t remember much after waking up until it was time to leave the hospital.
My doctor told me to stick to light foods and avoid Mexican food… but I ended up eating pupusas (I’m Salvadorian 😂). Totally worth it.
The drive home was pretty long since I had surgery out of town, so I took a huge nap in the car. When I got home I played some video games, took my pain medication, played with my cousin for a while, and went to bed around 10:30.
Today I’ve pretty much just been in bed. I ate some yogurt and took my pain medication again. The biggest thing is that it definitely hurts every time I try to move or get out of bed—I have to ask my husband to help me up. I also have that gas pain in my shoulder that everyone talks about. Does anyone have any tips for getting rid of it?
I haven’t showered yet because they put bandages over my incisions. I’m planning to wait until tomorrow unless my doctor tells me otherwise.
I’m really glad I took a full week off work. My doctor said most people only take about 3 days, but since this is my first surgery ever, I figured I’d rather have extra time than not enough.
For those of you who’ve had this surgery, when did you start feeling more like yourself again? When did getting in and out of bed stop hurting so much? Any tips for the shoulder gas pain or just recovery in general?
I’d really appreciate any advice!

What would you do?

Looking for some advice. I currently work as a probation officer and have been doing it for about a year. The job is extremely stressful, and honestly, I’m burned out. My long-term goal is to become a police officer. I got out of the Army two years ago and gained a lot of weight. I’m back on my fitness journey, but I can’t meet police PT standards yet. My plan is to apply to departments next year once I’m physically ready. Part of me wants to quit and focus on my health and fitness, but I’m worried an employment gap could look bad. Others tell me to stay and tough it out until I get hired by a department. If you were in my position, would you stick it out, find a lower-stress job, or leave and focus on getting ready for law enforcement? TIA.

Should I apply to police departments now or wait until next year?

I currently work as a probation officer and my long term goal has always been to become a police officer. My original plan was to wait until next year to start applying because I wanted more time to lose weight, prepare physically, and feel more “ready.”

But recently I decided to apply to a few local departments because smaller departments near me don’t hire very often, and I didn’t want to miss an opportunity close to home. I also know hiring processes can take months anyway, and I wouldn’t be available to start until after August due to a planned surgery/recovery.

Now I’m overthinking everything and wondering if I applied too early. Physically I don’t feel 100% ready yet, although I have been actively losing weight and preparing myself at the gym.

My current plan is to wait to see what these two local departments say, continue improving over the next several months, and then next year start applying to bigger/farther departments if needed.

Does this sound reasonable or should I have just waited? TIA.

Should I Get a Master’s Degree Before Applying to Police Agencies?

I need some advice. I was in the Army for 4 years and now I work as a probation officer. Lately everyone around me keeps telling me I should go get a master’s degree. Technically I could get it for free because I still have my GI Bill, but honestly getting a master’s was never really part of my plan.

I already have a bachelor’s degree, and my goal has always been to become a police officer. My plan was to apply next year because right now I’m mainly focused on losing weight, getting healthier, and preparing myself physically and mentally for that career move.

Now I’m second guessing myself because people keep saying a master’s degree would help when applying to police agencies or help me later in my career. The thing is… it’s not something I thought about doing. And I feel like I’d mostly be doing it because it could look better.

Do you think getting a master’s degree is actually worth it in my situation? Or should I just stay focused on my original goal and apply to agencies next year? TIA.
