Psychoeducational Assessment

Hello, I am 50 years old and going back to school next month. 3 years ago, I was diagnosed with ADHD (after my teenaged daughter was, and I figured out who she got it from. lol). In any case, I've never had a psychoeducational assessment done, as I didn't see any reason to, and it's quite expensive. (My daughter had one done when she was younger, and has several specific learning disabilities).

Now that I'm going back to school, and I have disability status for OSAP, I'm wondering if now would be the time to get a psychoeducational assessment, since it could potentially be covered by the BSWD.

When my doctor was filling out my disability verification form, she specifically asked me if I had learning disabilities. I said probably, but have never been diagnosed, so she checked 'no'.

Will the BSWD still pay for a psychoeducational assessment if the doctor checked 'no' for learning disabilities?

Coaching vs. Teaching

I have transformed my own health with a whole foods, plant-based diet (among other things), and am now interested in becoming a health coach so I can help others to do the same. However, I've come to understand that health coaching is not about teaching, it's about self-led behaviour change.

So does that mean, as a health coach, I can't specialize in helping people transition to a plant-based diet? Or, if it is possible, how can it be done while still staying within the scope of practice?

This is something I'm trying to figure out before investing in a coaching program.

Best flax seed grinder?

A lot of WFPB recipes call for ground flax seeds. I've been using my old coffee grinder but it doesn't grind the flax seeds up finely enough, it still leaves them pretty chunky.

I'm wondering if anyone has a grinder that they use and can recommend!

I'm in Canada if that matters.
