[Online] [PF2e] [18+] [18:00 EST] Seeking 2 players for dark Faewild Campaign

Hello! Names Bones.

I'm looking for some players to fill some spots in a 6 player Faewild campaign under the title This Hidden Hart o' Mine.
It is largely (if not completely) homebrew, based on the old tales and legends surrounding the fae and the places in which they walk. This is the land of the Good Neighbors and the things between rather than the land of tricks that many TTRPG settings put forward.
It will not be a 1:1, but many of the old symbolisms and spirits will be brought in! (Like any good fae story.)

>Mine hinds were young, and their world was new.

>Your character, whoever they may be, has had a slowly fading memory from their childhood. A seed planted within their history, whose sprout has barely grown above the foliage which makes up the ground below their feet.
It makes it all the more strange when life slowly leads into the slender hand of a pale figure. Their golden visage greets them in amusement and paranoia, head marked with crown and blackthorn.
And whether by mirth, by doubt, or by protest, it leads a dance to the curtains of a sunlit willow which seeks to shelter all from the world beyond.

>Mine hinds are young, and they shall know my name.

However, with this basis in historical tales, it also comes with heavy trigger warnings. They are listed here and within the form to apply:
>!Uncomfortable morality, non-explicit assault allegories, child marriage, uncomfortable relationship dynamics all across the board, deeply inhuman behavior, uncanny valley, so many bugs/spiders, abuse of multiple kinds, child death, addiction, gore, slavery, etc.!<
Now, it is important to know that this story/world does not seek to condone these topics, nor am I against having caveats to the way in which these topics are shown. These are hard-baked topics, but I am not unwilling to work within my players comfortability!

Now, if you read all of that and still think you want to join in, here's the requirements/technical information:

  • All players must be adults.
  • Session 0 will be 18:00 EST on the 19th of October, and will run biweekly past that point.
  • We will be using Foundry VTT through Forge, thus you will not need to spend money on Foundry to play. Please ensure you can run it through your browser.
    • Voice chat will be over Discord.
  • Given the neurodivergence of this group, we do struggle with overstimulation. This is made worse by low-quality mics and a lot of background noise. If you cannot assure these will not come up as problems, I cannot promise you a place.
  • Your fellow players and DM are all LGBTQ+. You do not have to be LGBTQ+ yourself to join, but I will not tolerate bigotry. (Of any kind, for that matter.)
  • Though this campaign handles dark topics, I expect my players to treat those subjects with respect. Throwing them into backstories senselessly and wholesale treating them like jokes will not go over well.
    • If you want to try a topic but are unsure how to handle it, I will personally help out.
  • This is a roleplay-heavy campaign, where senselessly throwing yourself into fights will have severe consequences. Most generous ratio is 85/15 of roleplay to combat. Incur those consequences if you think it'll be fun, but do not be surprised.
    • Additionally, be ready for a player group who is very intent on poking at your character, and I expect you to do so for them in kind. Learn who the character is, try to pick up on what's happening with them, be curious! This world gets dreadfully boring when you aren't curious.
  • This group is full of creatives, whether that be writers, artists, sculptors, etc. As such, I beg thee not to use AI for your character image. I would genuinely rather a no.2 pencil on lined paper sketch of your character than AI.

I think that's all I can think to say for right now! If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments or in DMs <3
If you'd like to join, the form link is here.
I will be going through the responses, and if I feel you might be a good fit, I will send you a friend request so that we can get in call and have a small talk with you to make sure we're on equal footing!

[Online] [PF2e] [EST] 2 Players with funky character concepts

Hello!! To start out with the absolute basics that prospective GMs would need to know off the bat:

  • We are free most days except Thursdays and Saturdays, and are awake between 2PM to 3AM EST generally speaking.
  • We are both adults over 21, and thus are looking to be involved with a table of adults.
  • Both of us are far more roleplay focused than we are combat focused, but not wholly unwilling to engage with combat.
  • We'd prefer a GM who is comfortably familiar with the Pathfinder system rather than somebody who is completely green to it or willing to try it out.
  • We're looking for a table with 4-6 players total including ourselves.
  • The genre we're particularly interested in for a game is dark medieval fantasy, the characters we have in mind don't do well within settings without that energy.

Now, with the flat information out!

The two of us are experienced roleplayers with many, many years of gaming under our belts. One's a writer, the other is an artist, and both have a feverish addiction to character development and worldbuilding. (We will contribute headcanons about the world and characters all day, including other player characters)

Now that we've found a game for two of them, we have only one set of characters that we're super interested in playing.

We want to play these characters in Pathfinder 2e. However, they come with intense trigger warnings.
Trigger warnings include: >!Childhood sexual assault, religious trauma, human trafficking, all of the trauma and emotional behavior that those come with those, and body/medical horror !<

Most of those warnings are for one character, though the other isn't terribly pleasant either, being inspired off of the Dictyostelium discoideum ameoba, having eaten so much over the course of thousands of years that it is now a giant mass of cells. An inhuman thing that has none of the natural instinct for human behavior, and thus only participates in it for the sake of curiosity. It is mechanically a fleshwarp with shapeshifting, though it can only mimic materials, no colors. Thus it parades as fully-armored knights so that it can sate its curiosity of being around people.

That is all, and if you've gotten this far, thank you for your time <3

We have two sets of characters we wish to play, though the circumstances for them are quite different.

We want to play two of these characters in Pathfinder 2e.

It is mechanically a fleshwarp with shapeshifting, though it can only mimic materials, no colors. Thus it parades as fully-armored knights so that it can sate its curiosity of being around people.

We are open to play another set of characters in Pathfinder 2e or DnD 5e IF the DM is willing to play fast and loose with rules.
5e rules are really miserable and while a lot of them make sense, a lot of them really don't.

These two characters are much less topically intense than the other two.
Inspired by Scandinavians and East Europeans, one a triton having freshly survived the social breakdown of her sea-faring crew (totally not pirates/raiders) and the other a human noble trying desperately to pretend she is anything but to avoid the murder of her father.
These two characters are exceedingly morally grey, and though more conventional in the topics they deal with, still emotionally intense!

They will excuse murder if it seems reasonable enough to have happened.

That is all, and if you've gotten this far, thank you for your time <3

Given the above, we have in mind a pair of fairly fleshed out characters we'd like to play, but! As a fair warning, they both deal with some pretty heavy topics, and while some of those topics do not need to be given explicit screentime, understand that they are core to how these characters developed within their backgrounds. Further discussion and open communication about this is absolutely welcome and preferred.

To add, one of the characters is intended to be rather strange in terms of concept, and I'd like to work with a GM to make sure the concept can be executed without clashing too hard with the system.

That is all, and if you've gotten this far, thank you for your time <3
