Not losing weight on microdosing. Do I need to let my body get adjusted to the medication?
I started tirzepatide 2 weeks ago and have had 2 injections so far. I started at 1.25 mg.
In these first two weeks, I’ve only lost 3 pounds. I eat very healthy: mostly vegetables, homemade lentil soup, and a source of protein like tuna or lamb. I also eat a cucumber salad with baby tomatoes and a few raw nuts. I only eat once or twice a day and stay under 1,200 calories daily. I don’t drink coffee, sugary drinks, or eat sweets or snacks during the day.
I usually skip breakfast because I’m used to fasting, and I feel better that way. In the past, I lost more weight with fasting or alternate-day fasting. I’ve already lost 60 pounds, but I still want to lose another 60. I started this medication mainly to help with binge eating, appetite control, and because my weight loss had stalled.
I was wondering if this is normal. I would also like to stay on the lower dose for at least 2 months before increasing to 2.5 mg. Any advice?
