I bought an Oura ring through Mercari as a present for someone else. It looked brand new, box was still good - etc. so I marked the purchase as finished and rated the buyer.
That was about 3 weeks ago. I gave the gift today and when they went to connect it to their phone we got this message. I talked to support and LO AND BEHOLD this was a lost/stolen ring and they already sent out a replacement for it. So this one can’t be reactivated and is now just a brick.
Please don’t tell me how dumb I was for not checking - I KNOW and am beating myself up for it big time.

My question now is, will Mercari do anything? Should I report this to the police? I spent $375.
I feel like an idiot. I am an idiot. Please help 😭

The tracking number on Mercari has not been updated even though I got this. On Mercari it’s UPS and through this email it’s USPS.
