When you sell items from tjmaxx, marshalls, target etc, do you remove the price part of the sticker or tag?
Do you remove the part of the tag or sticker that has the store price when shipping?
Do you remove the part of the tag or sticker that has the store price when shipping?
For context I recently purchased a gamecube as a gift for someone and I know they want the resident evil games so I found this one for a reasonable price.
-As I stated there are no photos of the actual backing of the discs and I’d rather not purchase a scratched up disc yk, so I asked but idk is it just me or were they snooty about it?
-At the end of the day I just blocked them because I can only imagine what it would be like to do business with them but i mean am I crazy for thinking that?
Edit: i realize I have a bunch of spelling mistakes in the message I sent them 😅 whoopsy but I was honestly flabbergasted like? Just because you have good reviews doesnt mean you should be rude.
I recently bought a tate mcrae signed cd and I was so excited because it was my first ever signed item of hers. When I received my package I opened it up to see there was no cd inside so i messaged the seller. They were very apologetic and offered to send the cd (next morning) with some extra goodies for free since they made the mistake of not checking inside the cd case. Also swore a couple times they’re not a scammer and it was just a mistake. Well, I didn’t receive any updates so I gave them three days and then messaged them privately since the sale chat was closed and they didn’t reply. I was thinking it was the weekend now maybe they’re busy. I send another message on Monday and one on Tuesday and still no reply. I assume I got technically scammed by now (since i only got the cd case) but I decide i’ll try and message them again. Turns out i’m not blocked by that person lol. At least I got the signed part, i can always just go buy the CD. But I don’t understand why offer and be so sweet and all this just to block the person? Just for the good review?
So im in a bit of a situation for the first time. I sold a MB of books. No where in my list did it specifically state that they were getting a specific book. Reading is really fundamental. The buyer is saying i said they would get the deathtrap book but what was written was deathtrap box not deathtrap book.
I have never had this happen to me before - how do I go about handling this?
What I have:
An unhappy customer ):
A video of me packaging and shipping the item
Edit: I opened a support ticket and am waiting to hear back - I call ups asks me to log in and I had to create an account.. I create the account and it’s sending me a verification code, I input the code and it said it’s invalid.. I am just so confused does anybody have information?
I had a buyer who was messaging me before the three days were up asking when I was going to ship my item. They were really impatient and even sending “?” messages to me, so I decided to cancel the order because not only I had I given them a discount, I hadn’t even taken the full allotted time to ship yet.
They created a new acc and re-bought the item from me just now, so I’m wondering: what would you do in this situation? Go ahead and send it out? Cancel again?
Haven't experienced a ceramic getting shipped back. But what happens if I get it back broken?
When something you mailed a buyer gets delivered, do you message the buyer to give them a heads up? I'm waiting on a couple packages and being impatient about waiting for them to rate me lol
Does anyone give honest reviews anymore? I am gripped by the reality that MANY people lack personal accountability and/or self control, and that combined with someone having your address is potentially dangerous. For that reason idk if I could ever give a less than 4 star review. My question is do you ever leave nice reviews to bad sellers (or buyers) because you realize every package has your physical address on it and you fear potential retaliation? I’m assuming there’s no way to protect/conceal your personal address to protect against vengeful irrational weirdos right?
TLDR- will Mercari eventually auto cancel/refund unshipped order?
Tale as old as time, seller is taking super long to ship order that I REALLY want.
I messaged the seller after a week, and they assured me it would ship soon, and that they've encountered issues outside of their control. I was super understanding, and didn't want to cause a fuss, because this is a HTF item as a relatively low price point, that I couldn't afford otherwise.
We're now going on week 2. I don't want to send another message and risk annoying them/them cancelling, but my money is just hanging in limbo.
Will Mercari eventually cancel the order if it goes unshipped? Or will I have to be the one to cancel? I'm willing to wait awhile longer, but at this point I feel like it would make more sense to cancel, get my money back, and put it aside until I can afford one of the pricier listings.
Thanks for reading!
I’ve been a seller since 2021, just random stuff that I have. I definitely don’t make a killing or anything. I have 100% 5 star reviews.
I found an enamel pin clearing out storage (trying to sell stuff for bills).
I couldn’t remember the creator for sure, and there’s no label , so I just listed for $30.
Well my DMS BLEW UPPPP and several people are saying it’s worth $200-$300+.
I genuinely hate to be that person but I didn’t know it was popular, and I genuinely need any extra money I can get right now. That’s why I’m selling smaller stuff - I usually only sell things $50+. I feel soooo insanely bad.
What do I do???
I've had people in the past asking me about offers and I usually just tell them to send me one if they're interested in the item. Today I had another one but when I responded with my usual message, "please feel free to send me an offer if you're interested", it got automatically deleted by admin.
Are we no longer allowed to say "offer" even though there is literally a button that says 'send offer'?
That was literally my entire message lol so I'm not sure what I could possibly be saying that is against their rules. I never had this issue until today.
So I sold a legit working Pokemon switch game to a buyer. They lied saying it’s fake. Then they returned a box with papers in it to make the weight similar.
I got it yesterday. I reported the issue to Mercari. They said it’ll be 72 hours for them to look into it.
Has anyone experienced this? What happened after reporting the issue with the return?
I bought an Oura ring through Mercari as a present for someone else. It looked brand new, box was still good - etc. so I marked the purchase as finished and rated the buyer.
That was about 3 weeks ago. I gave the gift today and when they went to connect it to their phone we got this message. I talked to support and LO AND BEHOLD this was a lost/stolen ring and they already sent out a replacement for it. So this one can’t be reactivated and is now just a brick.
Please don’t tell me how dumb I was for not checking - I KNOW and am beating myself up for it big time.
My question now is, will Mercari do anything? Should I report this to the police? I spent $375.
I feel like an idiot. I am an idiot. Please help 😭
I bought an item the other day that I’ve had it in my likes since the end of last year. The reason I ended up buying it was because I got a notification saying the price was reduced. I ended up paying around $30 for it. 2 days later Mercari emailed me saying they reminded the seller to ship it. I guess that same day the seller messaged me, but I didn’t see it until yesterday morning when I went to check on the item to see if it shipped or not. They messaged me asking I could cancel the order since it was “relisted by accident”. I was annoyed, but continued to cancel the order anyways. I think I selected the reason “bought somewhere else” since there wasn’t an option related to “seller asked me to cancel”.
I got my refund back today, but what doesn’t make any sense is the item is back in my likes and still available for sale? It also shows it was originally posted a few years ago. Why ask me to cancel if you’re still going to keep it listed, and at the same price? I’m debating messaging them about it or reporting the listing as “no intent to sell”. Is there something I don’t know? Why do sellers do this?
I also just noticed now my account has a “This buyer canceled. This message is an automated posting by Mercari.” under my reviews, which is annoying because I feel like I didn’t have a choice during that moment. I was going to buy the item from another seller but now with this on my account I’m slightly worried.
You know I take selling stuff very serious. I ALWAYS ship the item out either the same day or next day depending on day of the week and I communicate all the way through until the package is delivered to confirm everything. Yet half my buyers are always some stuck up lazy person who stops talking as soon as package arrives and then just lets the app auto rate after 3 days…… people who do this crap need a badge on their profile saying they don’t rate people. I’m tired of having to wait the max amount t of time to get my money. I go above and beyond to provide good customer service yet these are the people I’m stuck with…… I rather them NOT buy from me at all. Wish there was a way to tell you “hey this person refuses to rate people so take caution “ this is what made me stop selling on here to begin with. Sick of lazy buyers. I work 7 days a week i find time to communicate and send your package fast don’t force me to wait because you suck.
Very frustrated.. was trying to talk to a seller to customize a purchase but mercari wont let me message them unless I make a purchase or send over my ID. I dont mind sending my ID and was gonna do that, but the privacy and data use wording made me uncomfortable so I just begrudgingly made a single item purchase even though I would preferred to bundle the shipping.
Still cant message them. How long after a purchase will this restriction lift? All this hoop jumping is annoying.
I bought something from them a few days ago for the first time, but haven’t received any updates since.
This is my first time using this app and I’m not sure what to do in this situation. I purchased a large picture frame with the intention of turning it into a sign for my wedding in October. It arrived today and the glass was completely shattered. I have no doubt this happened at some point during transit.
I absolutely love the frame and want to keep it. Is it possible to just have the shipping cost refunded, and if so how?
EDIT: I meant to also add that if I keep the frame, I am going to have to purchase a replacement glass pane from a local glass cutting business.
Two different things I sold were delivered a month ago and 3 weeks ago. Both have tracking numbers showing delivery. Both customers haven't responded to my messages after 5 days. Neither has rated so I haven't been paid. The automatic rating isn't working. Also one tracking number on the site is showing different in the link for some reason but when I do it manually it works.
