Am I overreacting?

*Reposting to block username properly

The combined list price of the bundle of 2 items is $50.40. They sent an offer of $30. I countered $42. That is where they messaged me “you can’t do $30? $35?”.

Honestly how other sellers price their items has nothing to do with me. Anyway, I said I’d accept $35 for the bundle. And they countered $30 again. I countered $35.

Then they offered a price via message on the individual item. I put it on sale so if they send an offer, they get an even better price. Now here comes another message saying they’re “not quite understanding”.

I’m usually quite willing to negotiate, but at this point I’m slightly annoyed and am tempted to block, given both items have a fair amount of likers. Had they been a little more courteous in their tone when bargaining, I might be more forgiving.

P.S. the $15 listing they mentioned either sold or never existed. I did my research, I’m the only seller. And if someone offered them $13, why would they send me an offer of $13.25 lol

Why do so many users care about how sellers price their items?

I buy/sell on multiple platforms, but I feel like Depop has the most people bashing each other on price. If you don’t like the price you see, move on. If you believe you can find it cheaper elsewhere, go buy it elsewhere. Or offer a price you think is reasonable and see how it goes. I am a frequent buyer. When I don’t agree with a price, I just scroll on but it is crazy to see how many people go out of their way to message and harass sellers.

Not that I love the practice, but there are people out there who resell to make a profit. They set the price because it works. If they have a buyer, there is a market. People buy at a markup for so many reasons. Maybe the item is easily accessible in some areas but not the buyer’s. Maybe they have the money to spend and don’t care to shop around. Anyway, the seller owns the item, how they price it is up to them. Even if someone repop an item at a higher price, it is their choice to do what they want with their item. It is insane that some sellers even go back to check the buyer’s profile and be mad when they see a repop lol

To me, the messaging feature is for buying/selling. Messaging a seller when you don’t intend to buy is beyond me.

Folks with anxiety, how do you enjoy your time?

If you do not relate to these mental health issues, please remain kind.

I really love going to round 1 as a way to unwind. It is fun and most of the time I am on my own. I have severe autism and social anxiety to a point that I don’t play the claw machines or skill games that require asking the employees to get the prize out. If a prize is in the chute but not dropping because the tag is stuck, I’d rather waste one play to try getting it myself rather than asking for help. I periodically run into machine errors that I have to ask for help and I hate it.

There is only one location close to my home so I am a regular, this is my only entertainment. I have been going way more often lately due to stressful life situations. I feel awkward knowing the employees recognize me and notice I am there all the time. I know this is all in my head and they probably don’t care, but I can’t help it.

So if you also have anxiety of some sort, I want to hear about how you deal with it to so you can just enjoy yourself. Thank you!

F video Interviews, I’ll never do one again

I told myself this before, but I guess I was desparate enough to give them a go on multiple opportunities. Of course none of those applications progressed. It is such a shit show. You find yourself so awkward talking to a dead camera. You don’t even know if it is watched by anyone (perhaps not), and you never know what they do with the video.

From now on, I’ll just skip companies who think it is okay to waste people’s time like this. Interviews should be two ways.

P.S. I am not talking about a zoom call with a human receuiter, I’m talking about the ones where they give you prompts and you record yourself answering those BS.

What do employees see when they swipe your card at the counter?

Had an interesting interaction. I was reloading at the counter and once the employee swiped my card, they said “oh wow”. I rarely reload at the counter (usually in the app), so I am wondering what do employees see? Did they see my reload/win history? Not bothered by the experience, just curious lol

Does round 1 offer birthday rewards?

Hi! It is my first year joining the membership, I noticed the app asks for my birthday and am wondering do they offer birthday promo or reward? Any difference between member and non-member? If they have one that has to be use on that day, I just want to plan for it in advance. Thank you in advance!!
