Do I REALLY need an oil change every six months even if I didn’t hit the mileage?
I understand that Subaru recommends oil changes every six months or 6k miles. I don’t drive a ton so I often hit the time before the mileage.
I don’t want to void the warranty or cause damage to the engine but to me this just seems like Subaru trying to make more money off you. Is changing the oil every six months even if you didn’t hit the mileage necessary? Most other car brands are a year or X miles so I’m a bit skeptical.
Its a 2025 outback wilderness and I absolutely love it but its my first Subaru so I appreciate all advice from people that know more about Subarus and engines than I do.
Thanks!
