Can this be raised?

So my HVAC is in an old sandstone cellar with a rough concrete floor. We get heavy rain and the water seeps into the cellar walls. I've replaced the sump pump but want to see if this can be raised. It's a gas furnace. Wondering if this center part can be taken out and it raised at least 8 inches. Thanks for your advice.

The AC was replaced 2yrs ago and the furnace last year. Im wondering if the piece I have circled can be removed to raise it to about 8 inches. Cellar walls have been painted but still seep. I think some is coming up through the floor and edges. I think I will build a damn around the furnace to divert the water.

Replacement screen

Has anyone replaced the infotainment screen or dash with one less backlit? Night driving and the washout is a disappointment.

First gaden. Till or no till.

Till or no till.

Hi all,

New to the garden scene. Want to start a small garden out back. The soil is sand base and our area used to be a sandstone quarry. We do have grass growing but I'm thinking of tilling the first year. I've got a combination of topsoil and compost to start. Planning on growing basic vegetables like tomatoes peppers onions. Should I till the first year? Or just go with 6-in layer of the compost mix? Thanks for your feedback.
