Currently sitting at a 7.9 CGPA and kind of worried because a lot of companies seem to put 8+ as a cutoff for internships.
Is 7.9 CGPA enough to get a decent summer internship?
For people who’ve been through internship season already:
- Did companies strictly enforce the 8 CG cutoff?
- Were there still decent companies/startups open to people just below it?
- Does projects/skills matter enough to compensate?
- How hard does it get for summer internships specifically?
Would appreciate honest experiences instead of generic “skills matter more” answers. Trying to figure out whether I should focus offcampus referrals, or just apply everywhere and hope for the best.
