Do I like Expeditionary Force?

I’m most of the way through with about 4 hours to go and I can’t tell if I’m going to end up liking it. Some of the overly simple writing early on bugged me/felt forced or awkward, but sometimes it works better later. And it got a little more silly than I expected.

Maybe I need to get more into a Bobiverse headspace?

No spoilers but is the story good from here?

What is it about your favorite plane(s) that makes them your favorites?

A lot of people will probably want to say "systems depth" but what does that mean to you in more detail? I know that I like wear-to-failure the most but very few planes have it, usually they do MTBF instead. That's one reason I liked career. What I would love to see is wear-to-failure integrated into visual models and repair built-into the walk around mode. Tired, struts, landing gear assemblies, control services, hoses, wires, engine maintenance parts, fuel testing, all that stuff would be awesome but I've not yet seen anyone do that.

What else in system depth do you feel adds the most to the experience for you?

Right now my favorite plane is the Citation X but I also feel like it is pretty weak on the systems and system depth but it has a lovely flight model, ground handling, and lots of switches to fiddle with. The C680 has a lot more in the walk-around mode and I love that, but less to do in the cockpit just because the C680 and C700 both have so much automation.

I also really like the A2A Aerostar 600 for it's wear and flight model and I plan to get back to some prop flying soon.

I just want to hear what others love about their favorite planes.
