My kid got a new wallet and it broke at the first day. The shop will replace it but said to keep the broken one. I don’t want to throw it away but I’m not sure how to mend this. Maybe with a colorful patch? But I think it’ll be very difficult to sew through the fabric at the border because there’s another pocket on the back with a strong transparent plastic layer sewn into it (see the second picture). Also, what should I do about the top edge where it’s ripped out?
I would be thankful for any advice!
