Best way to increase my income (UK)

Hi there,

I’ve been on the entrepreneurial journey for less than a year now. I was working full time as an SWE at a FAANG but decided it’s not for me. There are some financial goals I want to achieve by the end of the year. One of them is moving out and having my own place to rent, which I feel £2k per month is a good amount. I have the below projects and sources of income - I don’t have a full time job and am spending my time on the below:

  1. Card game - Will launch this on the App Store and also have a web version. Will mainly get ad revenue. No money yet from this
  2. App for uni students - still early stage and will operate on a subscription model.
  3. Website agency - creating websites for small businesses and selling them. Started about a month ago and made £300 already, trying to scale this and make stable.
  4. Faceless YouTube and Instagram educational page - started yesterday
  5. Property tool to find suitable properties and sell to an investor - just started and working on packaging deals

If you were in my shoes, what would you do to scale the above to a few £k per month, and are there any other projects/side hustles you would recommend to help me with this. I’m not working full time, so I have plenty time to take on more projects/side hustles.

Buying first property in my 20s

Hi there,

I keep hearing from uncles of mine that they purchased their first property in their early 20s in the 80s/90s (in London too so more expensive). They more or less bought it straight out of university.

Has anyone here actually done this, and is it still possible nowadays (obviously straight out of uni you wouldn’t have much money). I’m self employed and I want to get on the property ladder. I have savings and investments but not sure it’ll be enough to get started. Any advice would be amazing.

Thanks 🙏
