[Dale Jr Download 1:16:51] Broc Feeney tried making his cup debut at Watkins Glen or Sonoma, still wants to run a cup race.
youtu.beNuggets from Chris Rice on his DBC appearance
There were a lot of interesting tidbits Rice spoke about so I’ll keep this to one post. (Also will go in order.)
Kaulig is now up to 200 employees and five buildings.
Race For The Seat will have a second season (although I’m pretty sure this was kinda known already).
Rice then offered Karsyn Elledge a spot in the second season (not sure if that was a joke or not).
Dodge/RAM spoke to two other teams before Kaulig got picked for their return.
Dodge/RAM returning took about 3 1/2 years to make happen.
Kaulig this year was originally going to be 2 cup cars, 2 O’Reilly cars, and 3 Trucks.
Kaulig + RAM will run their first built from scratch truck at Richmond with Haley driving (was originally planned for Michigan).
RAM picked Kaulig because they were the most aggressive with marketing out of the teams they negotiated with.
The original offer/plan for Race For The Seat was to take 15 trucks out to Las Vegas before being shot down quickly over testing rules and other logistics.
Carson Ferguson won $50,000 for the final race in the show.
35 drivers were interviewed and scouted for the show, but in the end it was cut down to 20. RAM prioritized those with the best personalities.
Luke Baldwin was one of the drivers interviewed but was cut from the show. Rice later mentioned he felt he was going to make a career no matter what.
As confirmed this weekend, AJ Allmendinger is signed through 2029 with an option through 2032. He will still be apart of Kaulig after he retires from full time racing.
Dodge IS working towards running in cup in 2027, but the biggest hurdle is engines.
Jamie McMurray was supposed to do a second race in the 25 truck but backed out after how San Diego went.
Jeff Burton has asked about Ward driving but Rice has been very hesitant to that.
Ferguson will run the 25 truck again at Martinsville.
A “really really really cool” driver that “nobody’s thought about” will run the 25 truck at Talladega, plus maybe Richmond.
Mini Tyrell is on a one year deal in the 14 truck, but could get invited back for the second season.
Tyrell is also driving for free in the 14 truck right now as part of winning the show.
There seemed to also be somewhat of a hint that Michael Christopher Jr (who competed in the show) could run the 25 at New Hampshire.
If there’s anything I missed let me know here’s the full episode: https://youtu.be/i\_V\_g3rQMLI?is=nRstMOJSZFkya0Zr
Amidst the Talladega Nights 2 plot being scrapped, here’s an early script of the OG movie with a lot of changes

Michigan is sold out
Believe this is the fifth sellout of the year and third straight race in a row to do so.
Ticket sales for Michigan looking very strong based on Ticketmaster
Not on pace for a sellout, but I'd still say one of Michigan's best ever crowds in years potentially.
