Context: paid for gamepass to try FH6 when it drops, decided to return to the COD Series after leaving for BF6.
To my suprise, the first game was alright, now my cod skills aren't that great anymore. It is still a fun, mindless shooter. Movement in this game is decent, still weirds me out about the double jump (why not return to jetpacks?)
Played 2 Multiplayer games and 1 zombies game.
This game reeks of nostalgia in a weird way, reused assets from previous titles and no real innovation.
Was greeted with the classic "Update requires restart".
Massive advert for the battlepass, I guess this is standard nowadays.
The game looks terrible, I played Hijack and it felt off? Didn't really have the vibe the OG one had.
No matter what I choose in the settings, I just couldn't make the game look good. Mind you, i'm running semi old hardware by today's standards.
So confused by zombies, this is where I got the reused assets park of the review.
The same bugs from BO6 were carry forward it seems.
Overall 5.8/10. Not great, not bad just eh.
I see the appeal to folks and the complaints.
Cod isn't what it used to be but hey, I think that's more of a nostalgia thing, playing video games with mates, talking shit and not having to worry about life.
