Came across this edit and genuinely thought it was the official reveal for a second!! 😭 Huge credits to https://x.com/aneetishq/status/2066545503547126186?s=46 for making it look so real. We’re definitely in for something really special. Now that Saiyaara month has officially begun, here’s hoping the excitement only keeps building. Waiting very impatiently for the official reveal now✨
Throwback to when industry insider Himesh spilled that Aneet had been signed for Shakti Shalini.
Atp everyone was guessing what her next film would be. Then came this post, the one that genuinely sent the internet into a frenzy.
It wasn’t just that she had signed an MHCU film. It was the fact that she was going to headline it!!
Her next project being a female-centric myth horror film from one of the biggest franchises in the country and she was doing it at just 23 years old!
As we get closer to the release of Shakti Shalini, seeing this tweet show up on my timeline feels esp sweet. The confidence and belief in a young actress at a very early stage of her career makes this moment so rewarding. In hindsight, this feels like a landmark in making, the moment when everyone knew that she is here to stay ✨♥️
When a character touches you and then someone explains exactly how you felt through their journey, it hits differently. From Vani’s diagnosis reveal to her gradual descent into the illness, every stage was portrayed so beautifully. Aneet played her with such sensitivity, honesty, and naturalness.
The diagnosis scene especially stayed with me. the confusion and then the heartbreaking awareness of that confusion setting in. The little things that start slipping away, the forgotten details, the constant shifts in the mind…it was all captured so well. Because at the end of the day, this is a disease of the mind, powerful enough to erase memories and sometimes even take away your sense of agency.
But what the story also shows so beautifully is that the soul and the heart are just as powerful. They keep finding their way back. Dimaag bhul jaata hai, par dil nahi bhulta. The emotional imprint remains. Maybe it comes back in fragments, maybe in bits and pieces, but it comes back. And that’s what made Vani’s journey so moving to watch. ❤️
