Signs

Just some signs I found in my travels. I found it odd that littering and hitting road construction workers were the same fine. Always remember that a sign is cheaper than fixing the problem. And, for God’s sake, no cannon balls off the bridge……

Variations on the Chubby Chernobyl

I got a few refusals from the double wing, and the back legs were giving me short strikes. Im looking forward to seeing how these work.

Mount McKinley / Denali

Day one the mountain was covered with clouds and small portions would peek out from time to time. The next morning, the view was amazing.

Mendenhall Glacier

As part of our July 2025 Alaska Cruise, our Juneau shore leave meant an excursion to see Mendenhall Glacier. We saw a few kayaking out to the glacier face. Looked enjoyable, just never been good in a canoe & not planning to try my luck in a kayak.

Warm up questions

I’m trying to get the most out of each sensor and would like uninterrupted readings. I take my sensors to the end of the grace period and then change sensors. This gives me 10.5 days and 25 minutes of no readings.
Question 1: Can I insert the new sensor during the 12 hour grace period and not start it until the previous sensor expires? Question 2: would the new sensor in the above scenario, go through warmup prior to the activation? Question 3: can I activate the new sensor when the old sensor is still running?

We parked our van at a KOA across the river and Ubered into Saint Louis. It rained most of the day. We did the Gateway Arch National Park, walked to the Old Courthouse, over to the Cardinal’s game…. Looked to be rained out soon. Grabbed another Uber to the Budweiser Facility. For a rainy day, it was not disappointing.
