Brooklyn – Betta fish looking for a good home
Looking for a good home for my betta fish in Brooklyn, NY.
I saved Big Red from a dollar store where he was in really bad shape and had a severe case of velvet disease. I nursed him back to health and we have grown a special bond, so it is hard for me to make this decision. He is a really special fish with so much personality.
Unfortunately, I’m no longer able to give him the care he deserves. I started a new job about six months ago that requires a lot of travel, and I am moving across the country for said job in September. As much as I hate to give him up, I won’t be able to take him with me.
He currently lives in a 2.5-gallon tank with a heater, filter, and lamp, and I’m happy to include his entire setup with him if needed.
More than anything, I’m hoping to find someone who has experience with bettas/fishkeeping and will give him a good home. He’s been through a lot, so I really want to know he’ll be well cared for.
