We are looking at purchasing a home built in the 1960s and the panel seems original. If you were buying a house with a panel this age, would you upgrade? We want to install an EV charger and other amenities, and I suspect I’ll need to upgrade to do so. What am I looking at cost-wise? Curious what you all think. The house is in Vermont for reference.

Hello, I am researching ancestors from Belarus, and they are somewhat of a brick wall. Rather than looking further back through records, which I have been told may not exist for their village, I am wondering whether it is possible to try and find distant relatives still in the village?
My family came to the USA in 1907 and several relatives went back to Belarus around 1917. Is there a way to find out if the surname still exists there? Phone books? Village records?
The surname is somewhat unique and I found reference to someone with the name there in the 1930s.
