Don't be like dick

My two local ranges have now banned SS firing. We are relegated to 1 shot per second due to people coming in and spraying and praying. Apparently one idiot came in and was hitting targets five lanes over ON AN OUTDOOR RANGE. Zero control over the gun. Immediate ban on SS.

So, have fun but don't be like Dick. Remember the 4 rules and always have control of your firearm.

I was going to put these in two more of my guns but now I have to drive over 2 hours to anywhere I can shoot them at.

Propper way to file a CUE?

I've got a CUE for 1993 and one for 2011. I don't want to get into specifics about the CUE because I know this is a sore subject here.

I was advised by a lawyer to file them as a 21-4138 and submit them via QuickSubmit. I did so 2 months ago. There has been no movement since. (I'd ask the lawyer but he is not available for two weeks).

I've called in to the 800# a couple of times to get updates and was told they are in process and to be patient; they will eventually show up in my claims list on the VA website.

Well, today I called in again to get a status, and I spoke with someone at the 800 who said that is not the right way to file a CUE. I need to file either a claim, a higher-level review or a Supplemental. Otherwise, the claim will never get noticed and processed. Which actually makes total sense and why nothing has shown up on my claim list for two months. But I am not filing a new claim and the time line for an appeal has long past.

Meanwhile, I have spoken with probably eight different people who all agreed the way to file a CUE motion was through a 21-4138 via QuickSubmit.

What is the real answer here? Can a DRO or RVSR weigh in here?
