How would the Men In Black handle The Gate?

I had this idea because in the original Men In Black comics the MIB fought more than just aliens, they also fought magical creatures and interdimensional beings.

I can see a few options.

 1. They blow up the gate, wipe the memories of the entire populace, and pass off the loss of life as a human terrorist attack.

 2. They get the situation under control, wipe the populaces memories, and then pass the gate off as something else (a radioactive containment sphere, a theme part attractione etc.) until they can figure out how to close it.

 3. If the situation is so big they can't possibly clean it up. Infiltrate the JSDF (or whatever modern military actually sends troops beyond the gate) to try and scope the situation out, and influence their mission whenever they can.

Zorzal was planning to use own bastard son and/or daughter with Tyuule as a puppet to make the surviving bunny people acknowledge him as their sovereign.

In case you need another reason to hate Zorzal. Not that this would have worked. Tyuule was considered a disgrace and a pariah by her own people for surrendering to Zorzal, so they probably wouldn't have even acknowledged Zorzals bastard as their king or queen.

Answer? It would have been too dark and edgy for even this anime/manga series.

Morality of not killing yourself when it would have prevented the apocalypse, or at least kept it from getting worse?

Warning: Suicide and edgy themes. Also spoilers.

This isn't the 'heroic sacrifice to save humanity' trope. It's the 'You need to kill yourself or everyone will die, or you will make things worse by your mere existence' trope. Where a story conspires to make it so things would objectively be better off if a character had actually just killed themselves.

Example 1:

Shinji from Rebuild Of Evangelion

In evangelion 3.33 Shinji Ikari finds out>! that he's responsible for the causing the apocalypse by piloting Eva Unit 01 to try to save Rei from the angel Zeruel.!< When he finds out he's responsible for it, he has a breakdown and genuinely contemplates suicide to atone for what he did. He doesn't end up going through with it, and instead decides to try one more time to make up for his mistake.

However through his actions. It ends >!with the villain of the series, his father getting access to an awakened Eva unit, the resistance movement WILLE's only two remaining Eva units being crippled (making the final battle with Gendo that much harder), endangering the lives of all the remaining survivors civilian and combatant alike, and humanity being even closer to extinction than it was before. Somehow.!< It's almost comical in it's absurd cruelty. Like the universe went out of it's way to make him responsible for everyones suffering.

If Shinji had killed himself, like he had considered earlier. Literally none of that would have happened, >!his father wouldn't have an Eva, noone would have been endangered, Wille would still have it's Eva units, and may have had a fighting chance to defeat Gendo in the final battle.!<

Example 2:

Marty from Cabin In The Woods.

Marty and his friends are tricked by a secret government agency into taking part in a pagan ritual to please a race of lovecraftian elder gods so they don't awaken and destroy humanity, in a rather on the nose allegory for Hollywood filmmakers and the audience for horror movies. The victims of the ritual have to die in a certain order, the 'Whore' first and 'the fool' (embodied by Marty) last.

But Marty, because of being high on weed when the ritual was conducted, ends up accidentally disrupting it when the drugs to make him compliant don't work. Endangering the entire human race, and the only solution to fix the ritual is for him to kill himself.

When he's told this by the leader of the organization, as earthquakes start happening and the world begins to end. He refuses. Even though him dying would literally save the human race from being at best ravaged, at worst made extinct by a race of lovecraftian gods.

And the movie ends with marty and the only other survivor of the group forced into the ritual dying, and the implication that the rest of the human race was doomed too.

Is it selfish and evil to not kill yourself, when literally everything would have been better off for every other human being on the earth if you had?

Morality of piloting the giant mass genocide causing robot AGAIN, after already accidentally causing one genocide, despite being ordered (under penalty of death by exploding bomb collar) not to pilot it?

Context: >!Shinji found out trying to save Rei caused the apocalypse and killed several billion people. He was told that the only way to get forgiveness for what he did was to pilot again, and use the awakened eva to resurrect them. But he just ends up making everything objectively worse for everyone, except his evil father Gendo!<

This isn't like the previous post. Shinji this time knew full well what him piloting an eva was capable of doing and yet he still chose to pilot it.

This always confused me as a kid. Why even send Terminators back? Skynet is not changing the timeline, it's creating an entirely new timeline. Nothing would change for the original Skynet currently about to be destroyed by the human resistance in 2029.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORN-ING FALMART!

"Hey! This isn't a test. This is rock n roll! Time to rock it from the slums of Akusho to the DMZ! Is it a little too early for that? Hey too late! It's 0600, what's that stand for? Oh my god it's early!"

"What is a DMZ anyway? Sounds like something out of Wizard of Oz. But let me tell you something folks this place is to Oz what the projects is to Disneyland!"

(As Walter Cronkite) "We now present Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Carnage."

"Oh. Hi Ho. It's off to kill we go!" (Whistles)

"Seriously. Witches, talking animals, all we need is the tinman and some flying monkeys."

"Seriously these Romans need to learn to chill out. They aint no Indians but we sure as hell aint no cowboys. For one John Wayne didn't have the M16 Carbine."

(As The Duke) "Alright sparky. Draw! BRATATATATATATA! That's enough of that!"

"Also what's up with all these funny names these royals in charge have? Molt? Pina Co Lada? This a royal family or a tiki bar? Why not a real roman name like Solar Plexius or Gluteus Maximus? "

"In related news. Prince Zorzal, tested positive for STDs. Which ones? All of them. That's what happens when you shag every woman from here to Narnia. That mans gone down on more pussy than Elijah Muhammed. Catgirls people! I mean catgirls! What did you think I meant?"

"Caesars palace, cocktails, gambling, prostitutes, this place is like vegas with heavy artillery and dragons. You think Sinatra could do a show here? Someone call up the USO! Wait a minute. (pause) The USO has informed me that Sinatra has declined to comment as he is currently recovering from a three way Trial by Combat with Elvis presley and Liberache for their residency at The International. Now that's a show I'd have paid to see! ."

Anyways this is Martha Reeves and the Vandellas with their new hit single Nowhere To Run. Keep it classy. I'll be back.

I'm confused. Is nudity taboo in the Special Region or not?

On one hand we see characters with revealing or even translucent clothing that shows everything, and naked sculptures of gods and deities everywhere. But she gets on Persias case for cleaning the bathhouse in a bikini? It's not all that different from what women wore in the real roman empire.

Fantasy & Science Fiction, February 1986

There needs to be a 'This Aged Poorly' tag.

By itself the arts not THAT offensive. But a picture of a group of horny men leering at a mostly naked woman, right next to the names of of not just one, but two sex offenders. One 'just' a creep and groper who perved on women at sci-fi convention. The other a literal child predator. It makes one unable to enjoy the art.
