Brand new DEEBOT T90 Pro Omni – Error 103 on first use. Has anyone experienced this?
Hi everyone,
I received my brand new DEEBOT T90 Pro Omni today, and unfortunately I haven’t been able to use it at all.
I ordered it from Amazon, removed all the protective films, stickers, and packaging, placed it on the OMNI station, and let it charge for a couple of hours. When I powered it on for the first time, it immediately downloaded and installed a firmware update. After the update completed, I started the initial mapping process.
The robot doesn’t move at all. It immediately reports Error 103 (driving wheel error).
I’ve followed all the troubleshooting steps I could find. I checked both drive wheels for any debris, but there isn’t any since the robot is brand new. Both wheels rotate freely by hand and spring back normally. I also cleaned the sensors with a microfiber cloth, restarted the robot several times, and tried starting it using both the app and the button on the robot.
When I start a cleaning or mapping cycle, I hear what sounds like the drive motors trying to engage for a split second, but the wheels never move. Then Error 103 appears.
Has anyone experienced this with a brand new unit? Was it something that could be fixed, or did it turn out to be a defective robot that needed replacing?
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s had a similar experience before I return it or make a warranty claim.
Thanks in advance.
