Hormones are killing me! But they also made me creative and I made so many postcards...
They want to be sent to other kind people, struggling with mental health.

Making and collecting postcards is one of the things that genuinely makes me smile. I especially love creating handmade motivational postcards and postcards with my own (nature)photos. I also made a few with typical dutch recipes on it ;-)

A bit more about myself:

Me, menopause (46F) I'm about to start my weight-loss journey again, with a goal of losing 20 kg by the end of the year. To be honest, I'm dreading it. I don't feel comfortable in my own body right now, and some days it's hard to be kind to myself. I'm trying to change that, one step at a time.
I'm stepping a little outside my comfort zone by posting this.

I was wondering if anyone would like to exchange postcards with me. Receiving a card with a few words of encouragement would mean so much and help keep me motivated. In return, I'd love to send you one of my handmade postcards.

Hi everyone!

I’m F/46 years old (young...), married, no kids, and living in the Netherlands. I have a full-time job, but somehow I still manage to keep up with my hobbies ;-).

When I was a child/teenager, I had lots of pen pals, but over time that faded away — such a shame. Now I’m approaching menopause, and they say it’s a bit like going through puberty all over again… so I thought: why not post a message here? Maybe there are more women who feel the same need (and who might also be struggling with those sleepless nights!).

Besides work, I love hiking, journaling, listening to podcasts, doing crafts and making art, and taking solo trips. My preferred language for writing is Dutch. (I can also write in English and German if you forgive my mistakes ;-))

Who would like to pick up pen and paper with me again in this increasingly digital world?
