Exfoliation recommendations

Hi all
I recently had quite a sever allergic reaction that resulted in a rash all over my body. It’s mostly faded now but it has left my skin (particularly on my legs) extremely dry and flaking (almost looking like when it is about to peel after sunburn). I don’t usually suffer from dry skin (combination on face but rest of body usually fine) and I tend to use coconut lotion and moisturising lotions. I do also have an acid based lotion to help with keratosis pilaris, but I’m hesistant to use this when my skin is still recovering from the rash.

Trying to find some good lotions that can help remove the dry/dead skin layers so I can then go back to using my usual products. (I found that putting the moisturing stuff over the top of the flakey skin was just making it sort of sit on top rather than absorb)

Any help greatly appreciated, thanks!

The Tivoli / Boom Battle Bar

Hi all
I’m looking at booking some mini golf for a hen do. The bride has stated a preference not to go to boom battle bar for this occasion just because she would rather something a bit more tailored than the basic packages you can get at such places

However it looks like Tivoli is the only place otherwise that offers mini golf - so I wanted to get people’s thoughts as to whether the “vibe” there is similar to or different than Boom?

My thinking is not to do the hen package and instead do just the golf then move on to the next part of our day so it feels a bit less impersonal than getting a standard package.

Any thoughts / reviews appreciated!

(PS I know this probably comes across as quite snobby but what we’re trying to get at is a special day curated for her not just an off the shelf package if that makes sense)

Thanks!

Feeling good today so wanted to share a positive post

Today is 4 weeks since my TT with central & left neck dissection. I’m struggling still with fatigue, pain, shoulder weakness and my voice BUT I think my scar is healing really nicely when I do a side by side comparison ☺️ focusing on that positive as I know so many of us worry about having a big gnarly scar on an obvious area of our body.

Pic 1 - 6hrs post op, didn’t realise how swollen I was 😂

Funny stories for TT/dissection scar

1 week post surgery and I’m still in hospital due to some complications (possible infection, BP all over the place etc)
So to help me pass my boredom I’m coming up with ideas of what to tell people when they ask about my scar.

So far I have:

* Shark attack
* Pirates
* Insulted a Glaswegian gangster
* I’m descended from Sir Nicholas de Mimsey-Porpington (of Nearly Headless Nick fame)
* I’m the reincarnation of Marie Antoinette
* It’s where I store my cookies

Go forth people of Reddit, be as creative as you dare !
