Hello!!
I’m gearing up for my first Run Disney Race (at least non virtual or Castaway) at WDW for the Wine and Dine. In booking a hotel and looking at ticket prices I came to the conclusion “well if I get into the Princess weekend I’ll entertain an annual pass”. Fast forward to this past Monday and somehow I was able to get into Princess as well!!
So here I am now, with the ultimate decision- Do I add on the photo pass to my AP???
I told my husband what it would come down to is whether or not the pictures for Run Disney would be included if I did that, because outside of that why else would I really need the pass?? Is anyone else here an AP with this add on? Are your Race photos included?
Thank you!!
I write this as I sit in the Vancouver Airport heading home from our Disney cruise. My husband and I had never tried any of the Magic class ships. We knew they were the oldest and smallest ships but we still wanted to sail this class to be able to compare (and to say we have done it of course).
We booked an Alaskan sailing on the Disney Wonder and immediately I began to see nothing but negative reviews. Reviews about the service being terrible as they’re understaffed. Reviews about the ship being in poor condition. Reviews about the food being terrible. And finally, people stating that the cast were not of the same level as the newer ships. There were so many of these reviews that I did begin to worry and even tapered my usual DCL expectations……and all for not.
This has been one of the best cruises we have been on. The cast members were just incredible, and it’s not like there was one or two. No. Every single one of them. The last day we found ourselves running around to say good bye to all of our favorites and it was truly so hard because there were so many of them. I was so offended for these cast members when I thought about all the negative things I had read. We made so many genuine connections and truly felt welcome because of the treatment we received from these cast members. While the ship was smaller, we grew to love the size and it was refreshing not needing to queue for a trivia 30 minutes in advance (looking at you Disney Wish). The atmosphere being touches of Disney was so tastefully done like the Dream class and it reminded us of all the reasons we fell in love with DCL in the first place. Everything was perfect. We keep saying we need to go back on the Wonder once she comes out of dry dock.
All of this to say; don’t believe all the negatives you read online. Get out there and try it yourself. And if you have a chance sail on the Disney Wonder. The crew on there right now is just amazing.
