[Suggestion]: New to PC's, looking for help finding a gaming computer

Hello! I am pretty (very) unfamiliar with PC's, mini or regular-sized, and I'm looking to get my first gaming computer. Up to this point, I've only had Macs.

I am in America

I'm hoping to spend less than $1,000

I would use it pretty much just for gaming (Steam) and maybe a GameCube emulator

I would be hooking it up to my TV, if that is a factor

I'm hoping to get a Steam Frame (if I can get my hands on one)

I'm not much into online gaming

I looked at a Minisforum Venus UM790 Pro, but was told a mini pc isn't the best thing and I could get a full size for around the same price

My steam library is mainly older games (I think the newest one I have is Subnatutica). Games like Halo or COD do interest me though, I have them on console

I have no time table for this, soon would be great but I'm not in a rush

I don't have any aesthetic requirements; I would prefer it be on the quieter side, size isn't too big a deal for me (though I would prefer not massive)

I'm not too close to a Microcenter but could make the drive if I need to

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I am not looking to build one, I don't trust myself anywhere near enough haha

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have a Mac. Is it worth trying to get the Frame?

I have had Steam for years, but I've only had a Mac. I don't know much about VR, and in trying to figure out online how much the computer itself is involved with the Frame, I've come up short of an answer. Would having a Mac matter at all? Would it make it not worth it? It's a MacBook Pro with an Apple M1 Pro Chip running Tahoe.

Thank you in advance!
