Be yourself, Always 💚
Sometimes I get nervous going out dressed in the clothes that I like because of how judgemental and cruel people can be. Then I take a moment to think, I think about the first time I saw a real-life goth. She was the COOLEST person in the entire world to little me. Her hair was all big and her eyeliner smokey. I knew who I needed to be when I grew up. Somewhere out there, by expressing myself to my absolute fullest, I like to think I've inspired someone to take the chance on themselves. To be the coolest and most unapologetic version of themselves to the world they face. I know it's just fashion and a sense of style but for me it runs so much deeper than that. It's a promise to myself to not abandon me at the door because I'm worried about the looks and snide remarks on something that I think is cool. Give yourself a chance, don't give up and don't hide away. The world needs more unapologetic self expression however that may be.
