I usually DIY the majority of my clothing, but this I cannot do. I’m worried about getting a corset that could harm me, so I’d like one from a reputable brand and one that won’t tarnish easily. Im looking for a corset under $100 or just above $100, and it would be amazing if it was under $60 but I don’t really expect that. I’d prefer PVC but I’m open to any shiny, latex-like material. Also, I’m open to second hand options. I have a preference for underbust corsets but overbust is fine as long as they’re bigger chest friendly. I appreciate any and all help!

How do you protect your skin from the sun while maintaining your style? I live in Queensland, so the UV is pretty intense. I already wear sunscreen every day and I’m trying to build a wardrobe with more long sleeves, hats and sunglasses, but I’d love to hear what actually works for you.

My style is mostly everyday alternative/gothic, so I’d especially love recommendations that fit that aesthetic while still being practical in the Queensland heat.
Do you have any favourite fabrics, clothing brands, UPF clothing, hats, parasols, sunglasses, or even skincare/body care products that you’ve found helpful?

Hi all, feel like this is the right place for this.

I "dyed" my hair today, using the Schwarzkopf LIVE colour semi permanent hair dye in Deep Black. Followed all steps and requests on how to dye on the box, and it didnt hold. At all.

My hair is a medium brown I'd say, and all it did was go a slightly darker brown. Barely noticeable... and just made my hair stink.

What are my options? Do I just go with permanent hair dye now?

Ive heard the Garnier Olia is good. Thoughts? Suggestions? Also how long should I wait? 👀

For context, I havent dyed my hair in 5+ years, and hardly use heat on it, so its very healthy. This dye hasn't changed that all, considering it didnt take 🙄

I'm new to the goth culture and community, I want to know, how some goths make their make-up survive their parters? I really would love to go out to dates and parties w/o him smugging my make-up or the sweat ruin it, so I want to have some advice on it

I always hear that it's obviously better to DIY but I wondered if buying there is considered fast fashion but for alt people or that if it's ok.

I'm going to my first goth night and I'm so pumped! Buuuuttt I need some help with finding some good products that wont budge in sweaty, dancing filled hours. I already have some products (L.A. Girl Pro Coverage Liquid Foundation that I mix with a foundation my shade, a really random setting powder+normal everyday makeup) and when I put it on to take pictures it's already smudging. If yall could recommend some better products and or methods I'd be so grateful! I do skincare routine before, use the elf powergrip primer, and have tried lots of ways to keep it on but the base normally isn't okay to touch and I dont wanna imagine what would happen when I sweat lol. I go for the more southern gothic/swamp goth look if that matters.
