I also am going to refill its water, I know it’s getting a little low due to the cork

I tried to dye it black which I wasn’t expecting a true black since it’s solid polyester, but when I put it in the dye bath it turned a GORGEOUS gray but when it dried out it was literally the exact same color as before. I used the graphite rit dye with freshly boiled hot water and dish soap and salt and stirred for an hour. I’m wonder what dye I need to use and or technique and color mixture or something to get it some sort of gray? I’m also thinking I need to straight up keep it boiling on a pot on the stove.

Most of you said no fern so I went with just the wings and I’m SO happy

I made this for folks who really love Polyphemus moths, should add ferns or no? I can’t tell if it would take away or add to the theme

I moved it to a nice secluded bush after finding it on a fence close to people walking around💛🤎 this one is much more pastel than the first one I’ve found this year, I LOVE their variations. Found in WV, I am pretty sure it is female because it looked as though it was about to lay eggs soon!! I could be wrong
