I need a better selfie setup :)

Tailoring from a distance, texture up close.

This is a vintage The Row blazer in a fine piqué knit with princess seams — from a distance it reads like traditional tailoring, but up close you can really see the texture and softness of the knit. (See the next photo for a fabric close-up + fiber content.)

It was originally designed as a shrunken, very fitted schoolboy blazer. This one is a size 10 rather than my usual size 2, which gives it a more modern silhouette.

Blazer: The Row — vintage, thrifted
Dress: Quince navy silk wrap
Shoes: Stuart Weitzman wedge sandals

First Post! Building my work wardrobe second-hand

First post! 👋

Everything I’m wearing was thrifted — the whole outfit came in at under $100.

Top: Vince silk
Bottoms: Aritzia Effortless Pants (I have these in 5 colors 😅)
Shoes: The Row Ava Mary Janes

I love hunting down really well-made workwear secondhand and mixing it into an everyday office wardrobe.

How would you interpret this dress code?

I am starting a new job soon and requested they send me their dress code since my last job provided company polos and I’ll probably need to buy some new clothes. It states “professional business attire”, the internet says business professional is basically always slacks and a blazer.

I went through 4 rounds of interviews and only during the last one with execs was anyone (except me) wearing so much as a blazer, mostly just nice blouses or a button up shirt. I’ve preemptively bought a few more blazers and a few long sleeve button ups, and I’m sure once I start and see what other people are wearing I’ll have a better idea, but just looking for other’s opinions
