I drew a card for a friends birthday
I drew a card for a friend and liked it. Please be kind to me, I haven’t practiced in years and I’m very self critical… 👉👈

I don't have a lot of experience with watercolor since I lean more toward dry mediums but I wanted to play with watercolor and attempt a storybook vibe. Little Bean participating in some of his favorite activities.
Seeing some bug posts reminded me that I met this dude about six or seven years ago. I lived in North Carolina all my life (over four decades) until a couple of years ago and never saw one of these until that day.
(And birds)
If anybody knows who was encased in the leaf let me know! I’m in NE Ohio.
It was suggested to me that I may belong here!
I thought this guy I made would fit well in this sub :)
Just finished a small installation made to inhabit a ledge. The pigeon is needle felted wool, with clay beak and feet, and clay and resin eyes. The twigs are clay, wire and paint.
This piece is about soft things in hard places, and comfort built in inhospitable conditions. As a disabled person, I often feel my comfort is built in an environment of inhospitality. I am drawn to the images of birds who have used the harsh steel of bird spikes as structure to build their nests. Ironically, the steel wire makes a strong warp on which to weave the weft of a home.
Good for you lil buddy!
If you were a mass of dead organic material buried in the dirt, being slowly consumed by microbes, worms, bugs, and fungus, what songs/albums would you listen to?
I'm starting with "I'll keep Coming" by Low Roar
I found it in a camping site in the south of France, I love it
Here is my little story. Since childhood I've always preferred comfy clothes and absolutely adored all shades of green. That's just how I roll.
However, in recent years, people started calling me a militarist because of my love for heavy boots, comfortable tactical gear and always having a backpack on. I really dislike that. It felt hurtful because that's not what I'm about at all. Every time I'd pull my shemagh scarf up over my nose, tug my red beanie down over my eyes, and doze off on the bus, people would give me side-eye. It started making me anxious. I kept wondering what I was doing wrong.
Out of nowhere, a friend of mine saved the day! She said "Wait! You're not a militarist, you're just wearing goblincore!". So, I looked up this new-to-me concept. And oh my god, YES! it truly helped me find my footing and feel grounded.
I'm M37, a geologist and a university lecturer. I rock a viking-style haircut, carry a backpack full of useful trinkets, wear comfy clothes, take endless photos of plants and mushrooms, and collect patches.
HOORAY! Let them stare all they want - I'm a goblin!

I took a recent camping trip (other photo post incoming) and spent some time in this awesome fort!!
Warning for a little many-legged friend in the last pic
Hello everyone! Here are a few pages from a semi regular mini zine I’ve created called Remove it and Use it (they are free and printable versions are available if you are interested in sharing with your community!) I thought there might be some foraging goblins or witchy folk who may enjoy these! (:
I know I posted a still image of this recently. But I was just reminded that I did these exactly 3 years ago. You can still get a hand drawn pistachio face. This print comes with one: https://www.anthonychristopherart.com/prints/caverns-print-edition-of-25-11x14
As of this post it looks like there are 2 left.
Been drawing these in my journal (text cropped because it’s me complaining about my co workers and politics)
I’m typically a more surrealist illustrator than fantasy but one of my students is like suuuuper obsessed with trolls (he’s 12) so I’ve been doing some research and finding a new love of the genre. Hope you all enjoy!
Old creation (tap for panoramic view) that the forest folk have warmed to, now that nature has decorated. This is just to the side of a long, unlit path we call 'zombie alley'. The path does have one lamp, down the lower end. The thing is, it makes it even more creepy. I'll take some more pics on here, if you like this sort of thing. 🌿
A goblin can dream I guess
I'll be posting the mushroom pics specifically over at r/mycology. I took so many pictures 🫣
So we have these arizona critters. Horny toads. Iconic critters of the American southwest. They can squirt blood out of their eyes. Epic critter.
I used to see them everywhere when I was a kid.
This is the first one I have seen in a decade.
So. You know. The earth is dieing.
BUT OMG BABY
