Profiles & Labels just got an upgrade, live for everyone TODAY — We think your calendar is going to feel a whole lot more organized. 🎉

Ever used a Skylight Profile for something that isn't really a person — like "Soccer," "Work," or "Family Dinner"? Now you can convert those into Labels, keeping your calendar organized around both the people in your life and the things happening in it.

Or, are you someone who synced an calendar and saw a bunch of new labels show up? NOW, easily clean up those labels and keep your filters and calendar tidy.

• 👤 Profiles stay for the people (or pets 🐾) in your household
• 🔄 Convert any Profile into a Label (or Label into a Profile) without losing your events
• 🏷️ Labels are now their own dedicated section — for life's categories and themes
• ✨ Add emoji to your Labels from a curated library to make them easy to spot
• 🔀 Merge Labels with Labels to clean up duplicates or old Profiles (after you've converted the profile to a label)

Tip: Convert unwanted Profiles to Labels, then, add a new "Archive" label and merge anything you're not using into it to tidy up!

⭐️ New Feature Alert: Remove Stars is here!

You can now remove stars from your child's balance directly in the Skylight app - no workarounds needed.

Whether it's for missing a chore or a tough behavior moment, you're now fully in control of your family's star system.

Here's how to use it:
📱 Open the Skylight app
🏆 Tap the Rewards tab
⭐️ Tap the new Remove Stars button
👤 Select a profile, enter the number of stars, and confirm

Available now for Skylight Plus subscribers on iOS and Android. Update your app to 2.6.0 to get started!

We wanted to pop in with a quick update on the Skylight Home rollout. We know many of you are eagerly waiting and trust us, we're just as excited as you are.

Due to the scale of this feature, we are intentionally slowing down the rollout to ensure once it fully launches you have a feature that you can count on.

Sidekick’s Activity Planner is starting to roll out for Plus users!

No more bouncing between tabs trying to figure out what to do this weekend. Just answer a few quick prompts and Sidekick will surface a handful of tailored ideas — from local events to simple family activities — ready to drop straight into your calendar.

Here’s what you can expect:
✨ A few personalized activity suggestions based on your schedule, location, and budget (the more detail you share, the better they get)
📅 Review, tweak, and choose what you want before anything is added to your calendar
🔍 Smart fallbacks when exact matches aren’t available. We’ll suggest similar options so you’re never stuck

✅ We've made adding tasks even easier!

You may have noticed things look a little different when you go to add or edit a task - that's intentional! 😊 We've been working on a cleaner, simpler Add Task screen on both the app and your Skylight device.

Here's what's new:
📱 On the app:

• Chores, Routines, and Task Box are now together in one row at the top
• The emoji field is next to the Title field
• The Assign field can now collapse, so you only see what you need!

• Chores and Routines are grouped in one row at the top
• The Assign field collapses too!

💡 Pro tip: Tap the word "Assign" to collapse the profile field — super handy if your family has a lot of profiles!

Skylight Home is a brand new screen on your Calendar device that puts your weekly calendar, today's tasks, and shared lists all in one place — so your family can see it all at once during your busiest times.

Here's what's coming your way:

📅 A new Home tab in your Calendar sidebar — your family's go-to screen
☀️ Calendar Week View (with weather!) so you can see your full week at a glance - SWIPE your week to see future events
✅ Today's Tasks — complete chores and routines right from Home, without leaving the screen
🛒 Lists — check off groceries and to-dos inline, with easy item-adding built right in
🎛️ A Customize button to show or hide Tasks and Lists — make Home work for your family

We're rolling out gradually over the next few days — if you don't see it yet, it's on its way! Keep an eye out for the new "Home" tab in your sidebar. 🏠
