€2,500 gravel bike for road, fast gravel and bikepacking

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a versatile gravel bike with a €2,500 budget for fast road/gravel rides during the week, bikepacking on weekends, and longer trips during holidays.

I was initially looking for an aluminium frame with GRX 2x12 and plenty of mounting points, but I haven’t found any options with a full GRX 820 groupset.

I’m currently hesitating between:

  • Orbea Terra H30 2027, €2,030: aluminium, mixed GRX 610/820, lots of mounting points.
  • Cube Nuroad C:62 Pro 2027, €2,669: full carbon, full GRX 820, but only 2 mounting points on each side of the fork.

The Cube seems like a great deal for the specs, but I’m wondering :

  • Is carbon actually a concern for bikepacking ?
  • The Cube only has two mounting points on the fork, can I still use fork bags ?

I’m also open to other gravel bike suggestions, so if you know of something around this price that would suit my needs better, I’d love to hear your recommendations!

Thanks!

Torn between L and XL on the new Orbea Terra H30

Hey everyone,

I’m about to order the new Orbea Terra H30 2027, but I'm stuck between sizes L and XL.

My measurements:

  • Height: ~185 / 186 cm
  • Inseam: ~ 89 cm
  • Wingspan: 190 cm (Long limbs, short torso)

Orbea puts me right on the boundary (L: 180–185 cm / XL: 186–191 cm). On paper, the XL geometry jump seems modest horizontally (+6mm reach), but vertical and cockpit stack increase significantly (+29mm stack).

My main concern with the Large is saddle height: with my 89 cm inseam, will the stock 350mm seatpost extend past the minimum insertion mark? Does anyone know the minimum insertion depth for this SP 0.2 Carbon seatpost ?

Would you size down to L (and potentially swap to a longer seatpost) or size up to XL (and potentially swap to a shorter stem)?

Thanks!

Any news on the 2027 Giant Revolt lineup (0/1/2)?

Hey Giant community,

I’m currently in the market for a gravel bike that can serve as a versatile daily driver. My main setup will be weekday rides mixed between pavement, fire roads, and light gravel trails, along with the occasional weekend bikepacking trip.

The Giant Revolt alloy lineup (0, 1, or 2) seems like the ideal candidate for this mix of riding. That said, I'm trying to figure out the timeline for the 2027 Revolt models.

Does anyone here have inside info from their Local Bike Shop or know Giant’s usual announcement schedule for their mid-range gravel bikes ?

Thanks in advance for any insights or LBS order book leaks!

Orbea Terra H30 2027 - Which color and why ?

Hey everyone!

I’m currently shopping for my next gravel bike to hit a mix of pavement, fire roads, and local trails and with some bikepacking projects. After plenty of research, I’ve pretty much settled on the new Orbea Terra H30 (2027).

My only problem right now? I cannot for the life of me choose a color !

To be honest, I think all three colorways look great, but I’m torn:

  • Black: It’s sleek, but I find it a bit too plain/boring.
  • Yellow vs. White**:** I’m strongly leaning toward either the Yellow or the White. I like the combinaison of the yellow and black, while the white looks incredibly sharp and classy.

For anyone who owns this bike or has seen these colorways in person:

  1. Which color is your favorite, and why?
  2. Is the white a total nightmare to keep clean ?
  3. Does the yellow look as good in person as it does in the stock photos ?

Would love to hear your thoughts, thanks!
