Started PEP after massage parlor incident — worried about HIV risk and struggling with anxiety from medication
Recently, I went to a massage parlor for the first time. The person who massaged me was a trans woman. After the massage, she performed deep throat and deep kissing. After finishing the session, I went home and started to regret it. I thought it was risk-free, but after doing some reading, I decided to see a doctor.
The doctor recommended that I start PEP treatment. I took my first PEP pill (Mitravir) about 41 hours after the exposure. Now I am on day 6 of the treatment.
The only thing I hate about this medication is that it causes severe anxiety and a very uneasy feeling.
Do you guys think it is possible for me to catch the virus?
