I’m working on my first Sophie scarf (large size) and have just increased on the last row - so i have 33 stitches on the needle.

What I’m confused by is when I start the decreases. do I immediately decrease to 32, so that there is only one row of 33? or do I knit 7 rows at this length, and decrease on the 8th?

I have googled and I don’t think I am phrasing my question clearly enough. I also watched two YouTube tutorials and they contradicted each other. I’m trying to figure out how the pattern intends it to be.
