I realised today we are in the second half of the year and it just felt so rushed. Anyway, I got back into reading romance this year and wanted to ask what new tropes did you discover or fall in love with?
So I have read books with alternating POVs and only FMC POV as well. But never have I ever read one with only the MMCs PoV.
Do they exist? I want to read about a pathetic, puppy love MMC and yeah.

So FMC gets into an accident or gets hurt to the point of being mistaken for dead (preferably while protecting MMC). But for some reason she and MMC get separated.
She recuperates fully or maybe even with some health issues persisting due to the accident, BUT has amnesia (temporary or permanent) and doesn't remember MMC or past life.
Fastrack to FMC fully healed and moved on with (preferably) found family. All this while, MMC tries to go through the cycle of healing and grieving. One fine day, MMC runs into her and buckles from the impact of realisation that there's no recognition in her glance, she just moves on. Cue shenanigans and their journey to HEA.
I am open to them creating a new bond from scratch or insta love. I do however want no cheating, other person drama and all the puppy love, caregiving, growth, the usual good things we all love.
I beg for reccs with NO third act breakups. Not a fan of HR either.
So I find a lot of mental illness rep in books but I want to read a mentally strong FMC who has physical disability (preferably permanent) and limitations. And the MMC just does everything for her. They both realise it's not pity or help just care being his love language.
Bonus points if he is mafia or super grumpy before he falls for her and then with her he is just marshmallow-soft.
No third act breakups or heavy angst pretty please. Avoid HR if possible, no cheating.
Just uber protective MC and his competent love that he spoils with care she didn't ever have to ask for.
