Help, I’m Starving

I’m only on day 2 of the liquid diet and I’m quite literally STARVING. What are the most filling/high volume liquids I can have? I had a protein shake for breakfast, lunch, and 2 snacks… idk how I’m gonna make it through two weeks!!!

Sandwiches

Does anyone ever regain the ability to eat a sandwich? Not a sub in a tub, or any other breadless version, but an actual sandwich on ciabatta or a hoagie roll. I know you obviously cannot eat the whole thing because of stomach size but can you at least have SOME of a sandwich (the way it was intended to be eaten, biting into the bread, meats, cheeses, veggies all at once)?

*Sorry for the tone but this is a very specific question/answer situation lol. Thank you!!

CLEARED FOR SURGERY

Self explanatory title lol but FINALLY got behavioral health clearance today!!!!!!! That was the last clearance I needed, I have been working my BUTT OFF to get my process done. Case has been sent off to insurance and hoping to get a date here in July!!!!!!!!!

Do y’all have any advice as it continues to become a real, solidified decision that I’m going to get my life back?! I’m grieving the fact that I’m doing this at the end of my youth but outside of that, all advice would be helpful 💗💗xx

Hi y’all,

So, I had a consultation with a surgeon in March and he was downright awful. The Holy Spirit was telling me NO, even though I had a friend who begged me to get a surgeon of color, and he’s the only one in my city. I was still going through his surgery requirements though because I was trying SO HARD to have my surgery in June. Why June? Well my Birthday is in the exact middle of August and I wanted to be able to have a cupcake/mindful cake serving and then be well established ahead of the winter holiday season. So I found another surgeon, but couldn’t get a consult until April 30. She’s in the same medical system as the awful guy, so I was hoping they’d have the same requirements and things could transfer over.

Well now I have a conundrum: the April 30th surgeon is a DREAM, I’m so happy I found her… but surgery date is expected for August 😫😣😣😣** **because the surgeon is basically making me start the process over with her in-house people.

The question is not if I’m going to use her, the question is what to do about the surgery date??? With the two week liquid diet, should I postpone surgery until September? I’d still be healing fairly significantly near Thanksgiving and Christmas, right? I’m trying my darndest to be ready by July but that’s not guaranteed, and June is out of the picture, unfortunately.

Thank you if you read this far 💖💖💖
